These terms govern the use of SeaVint (seavint.com), operated by SeaVint. By creating an account or using the service you accept them. Contact: hello@seavint.com.

The service

SeaVint is a library of ship equipment manuals with search, answers that cite the manual page, interactive 3D models and training procedures, and reports for shore staff. The public catalogue is free. Private libraries, crew accounts and reports are available on the plans shown on the pricing page.

Safety notice

Information in SeaVint, including AI answers, summaries and 3D procedures, is a training and reference aid. It does not replace the manufacturer's manual, the company safety management system, permits to work, class or flag requirements, or the judgement of the responsible officer. Always check the cited manual page before work on equipment.

Accounts

You are responsible for your account and for keeping sign-in details secret. Company administrators are responsible for the users they invite and the documents they upload.

Your content

You keep all rights to documents you upload. You confirm you are allowed to store and use them for your company's operations. You grant us a licence to store and process them only to provide the service to you. We do not publish your documents.

Acceptable use

Do not upload unlawful content, try to break or overload the service, access other companies' data, or resell the service without our consent.

Plans and payment

Prices are shown on the pricing page in USD without taxes. Paid plans are billed in advance for a month or a year. If a plan is not renewed, the account returns to the free plan; your documents remain readable within its limits and can be exported. Fees already paid are not refunded except where the law requires.

Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may change features; we will give notice of changes that reduce a paid plan.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for damage caused by relying on information without checking the source manual. Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim.

Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of the operator's country of registration, unless mandatory consumer law says otherwise.
