This policy explains what personal data SeaVint (seavint.com) collects, why, and what rights you have. The service is operated by SeaVint ("we"). Contact: hello@seavint.com.

What we collect

Account data: name, e-mail address, company name, role, the vessel you are assigned to, and a password hash (we never store passwords in plain text).
Sign-in data from Google, Yandex, VK or Telegram when you choose them: the provider's user ID, your name and e-mail address if the provider shares them.
Content you upload: manuals, drawings and other documents, and the text we extract from them.
Usage data: questions asked to the assistant, training attempts in 3D procedures (time, errors, result), and technical logs (IP address, browser, time) kept for security.
Requests from the contact form: name, e-mail, company, fleet size and message.

Why we use it

To provide the service: your library, search, answers with page references, 3D training and reports for your company (performance of a contract).
To keep the service secure and prevent abuse (legitimate interest).
To answer requests and send service messages (contract / legitimate interest). We do not send marketing without your consent.
To bill paid plans and keep accounting records (legal obligation).

Who sees your data

People in your company see your name, role, vessel and training results. Company administrators manage accounts.
Uploaded documents are private to your company. Manufacturer documents are never published. The public catalogue shows only our own summaries, specifications and page numbers, and never vessel or company names.
Processors that help us run the service: hosting provider, e-mail delivery, payment provider for paid plans, and an AI language-model provider that processes questions and document text to produce answers and translations. They act on our instructions and may not use your data for their own purposes.
Authorities, only when the law requires it.

Where data is stored and for how long

Data is stored on servers in the EU/EEA or in countries with adequate protection; transfers rely on standard contractual clauses. We keep account data while the account exists and up to 90 days after deletion; billing records as long as tax law requires; security logs up to 12 months.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export or delete your data, object to or restrict processing, and withdraw consent. Write to hello@seavint.com. You may also complain to your data protection authority.

Cookies and local storage

We use only what is needed to run the site: a sign-in token and your language choice stored in your browser. No advertising trackers.

Children

The service is for professionals and is not intended for children under 16.

Changes

We will post updates on this page and notify registered users of important changes.
