JOWA REP-1L
Ultraviolet drinking water steriliser
JOWA REP-1L sterilises drinking water with one low-pressure UV lamp in a stainless steel chamber. A photocell measures UV intensity and gives an alarm and closes the outlet solenoid valve when it falls below 30 %; a lamp ammeter monitors the lamp. It is fitted after the pH filter, storage tank and hydrophore, as close to the tapping point as possible. The manual covers specification, installation, start-up, chamber cleaning, lamp and quartz jacket replacement, a troubleshooting chart, wiring and parts.
Maintenance procedures
Replacing a quartz jacket
- Switch off the operating switch and the automatic fuse; drain the chamber. p. 14
- Remove the wing nuts and end covers, disconnect the lamp and pull it out. p. 14
- Remove the O-ring flange (three 6 mm socket screws), slide the quartz out on a 10–18 mm wooden or plastic rod. p. 14
- Fit new O-rings (soap inside), wipe the quartz with alcohol and do not touch it with bare hands. p. 14
- Slide the new quartz in on the rod, refit flanges hand-tight to bottom, pressurise and check for leaks; refit lamp and covers. p. 14
