Pt100 resistance table and calculator

The resistance of a platinum sensor rises with temperature: 100 Ω at 0 °C for a Pt100. Disconnect the sensor, measure between terminals A and B and compare with the table. An open circuit or a large difference means a faulty element or wiring.

Result
Class B tolerance± 0.70 °C (130.63–131.16 Ω)

How it is calculated

Callendar–Van Dusen equation (IEC 60751, α = 0.00385): R = R₀(1 + A·t + B·t²) above 0 °C, plus C·(t − 100)·t³ below 0 °C; A = 3.9083·10⁻³, B = −5.775·10⁻⁷, C = −4.183·10⁻¹². Class B: ±(0.3 + 0.005·|t|) °C.

Reference only. The maker's manual and class rules take priority.
